Julie Douangphila

Dr. Douangphila received her Bachelor of Science Degree from Wichita State University, located in Wichita, Kansas and her Doctorate in Optometry at the New England College of Optometry in Boston, Massachusetts. Dr. Douangphila pursued her interest in optometry at a young age; she was employed as an optometric technician and apprentice optician in both private and commercial practice settings before attending graduate school. She interned at the following places where she received experience and clinical honors:

• 2.5 months at Newport Naval Base, located in Newport, Rhode Island.
• 3 months at Codman Community Health Center in Dorchester, Massachusetts.

As part of Dr. Douangphila’s ongoing commitment to providing patients with the most advanced case, she regularly participates in continuing education courses and attends optometric conferences and related educational opportunities.
